Verdana

Verdana is personally my favorite font to use when typing up anything that needs to be used for a creative project, such as information on a poster or a presentation. This is because it is one of the most legible and easily read fonts. There is an easy distinction between commonly confused numbers and letters such as "i", "j", "l", "I", "J", "L", and "1". In addition, the wide spacing between letters allows for distinction of letters that clash and seem to mix together when next to each other, such as "r", "m", and "n". Also, it is easily readable when the font size is a smaller size. Another great aspect of Verdana font is that there is a clear distinction between regular, bold, and italic.

This font was created mainly to solve the problems of on-screen display. It was created by type designer, Matthew Carter. The Verdana typeface family was first made available on July 8, 1996. This typeface family consists of four main fonts; Verdana, Verdana BoldVerdana Italic, and Verdana Bold Italic. Large companies such as Apple Inc. and Ikea use Verdana font for their logos.
